Determining pressure losses in flushing pipelines by two-phase flow

A stream of water is used in flushing ship systems and their elements. To increase the efficiency process, a two-phase pulsating flow can be used. This method intensification brings tangible results, but currently has number unsolved problems. One these problems question related to determination energy costs for transportation mixture. The transporting depend on magnitude pressure losses due friction orientation pipeline sections space. An attempt was made estimate loss during mixture air through flushed pipeline. main theoretical dependencies are determined: density, velocities various phases flow, volumetric mass rates, rate water-air content. substantiation given determining movement medium depending concentration gas (air) phase When losses, homogeneous model as most suitable mode with flow. calculated dependences calculating transport horizontal vertical pipelines constant internal diameter determined. dependence content been established. assessment differently oriented carried out order determine further effectiveness this method.
